Wild, Enchanted Scents of Stupidity

My Cattleya (which is still in bloom) smells absolutely incredible this morning.  It’s a scent I wish I could capture and make into perfume.  I hope the blooms don’t fade for awhile yet.  I guess time will tell.
This beautiful, exotic scent has inspired me to go any buy these:

I got these off the net seeing that the nearest B&BW is about an hour away.  I’m hoping the Orchid scent will be somewhere in the ballpark of the actual Orchid scent.  Honeysuckle was purchased after I found a Honeysuckle candle at work and the smell reminded me how my mom used to wear Honeysuckle perfume.  Not only do I love the scent, but it’s a pleasant reminder of her.
This week is a bit up in the air.  Pending my Grandpa’s health, I’m debating a trip south to see them.  On the other hand, we’re waiting for the dealership to call and let us know when our car will be ready for us to pick up and process the paperwork.  Either way, I need to be at work Friday, so we’ll see what happens.
I found out our new car has XM radio in it (which I peed a little over.)  Now, after our 3 month free trial, we will have to decide whether we want to pay $9.99/month for it.  I know how much I love it at home already.  I guess we’ll decide that later.
Finally, I discovered a…well, I don’t know what to call it, because it’s bigger than a pet peeve.  I just hate when people betray your confidence and tell something to the one person you asked them not to, and then act like everything is great!  All trust is lost and that relationship is scrapped.  I guess that’s the long and the short of it, and another thing I just have to accept.  So goes life, I suppose.  Stupid me for trusting.

Burst my Bubble

Morning.  For all of you holding your breath for amazing Hot Air Balloon Ride pics….exhale.  They’re not here.  Our trip got cancelled/post-poned due to winds.  Now, is the task to reschedule, but I think we might try again in as soon as 2 weeks.  I’ll keep you posted.
Hubby and I still took advantage of an overnight babysitter for kidlet and we were going to head to Wausau anyway, but I realized that was kind of pointless seeing that we had just been there and we need to go back this week to pick up our new car.  So, I changed plans and we headed to Minocqua for the afternoon.
We walked the shops and on the hottest day of the year, I purchased hand knit gloves for me and mittens for kidlet. (–It’s me.  In my world it makes sense.)  We then headed to the Casino for supper and each used $20 in the slots.  It was nice.
I got home last night to find a message on our machine that Grandpa is in Intensive Care with Pneumonia.  My Grandma expects hum to stay there for a few days yet.  If you’d all keep him in your thought and prayers, I’d appreciate it.
I don’t know what’s on the agenda for today.  Not much, I suppose…afterall, it is a holiday.  I’m keeping an eye on my Grandpa’s situation and debating a trip there this week.  We shall see.
