In the last couple of days I’ve come down with this cold/flu thing that has left me feeling like I pretty much got hit by a truck. As if that’s not bad enough, I get the ear-ache from HELL last night. It felt like my ear wanted to pop, but it wouldn’t. I took a hot shower to try and ease the pain a bit and at 10:45p.m. I finally waved the white flag, took 3 Aleve and went to bed.
This morning I wake with an off-key echo in my right ear. It makes any piano sound like a beat-up, flat, tinny toy and makes every professional singer sound like they’re just not trying hard enough today. It’s annoying.
I called the Dr., but can’t get in until tomorrow. So, I guess I’m stuck with this incredibly flat off-key voice in my head until then. It’s like professionally-bad karaoke in my head 24-7. What’s that you say? Hell has that same bar? Oh good. I’ll be prepared.
